Resources and Energy in Inter-War – Production Guide

The foundation of development in Inter-War consists of three resources: metal, crystal, and deuterium. They are produced by buildings on your planet, and their output depends, among other things, on the level of your mines and the amount of available energy.

What are the different resources used for?

  • Metal is required for most buildings, defenses, and ships.
  • Crystal plays an important role in research, advanced buildings, and fleet development.
  • Deuterium is essential for fleet missions, research, and the further development of your empire.

Why is energy so important?

Mines require energy to operate at full efficiency. When there is not enough energy available, resource production decreases. At the beginning of the game, your primary source of energy is the Solar Plant, so its development should keep pace with the expansion of your mines.

How do you maintain a balanced economy?

Do not focus on developing only one building. A large Metal Mine without enough energy, or without the crystal required for research, can quickly create a bottleneck. A safer strategy is to regularly upgrade all three mines while keeping an eye on your energy balance.

What does production per hour mean?

Resources are produced continuously over time. The values displayed on the resources page show the current production rate, while your stored resources increase as time passes. Remember that storage buildings have limited capacity.

FAQ — Resources and Energy

Why are my mines producing less?

The most common reason is an energy deficit. Check your energy balance on the resources page and upgrade your energy source if production is being reduced.

Is it worth upgrading storage buildings?

Yes, especially when your stored resources are approaching their maximum capacity. Storage buildings prevent production from stopping because there is no space left for additional resources.

Which resource is the most important?

Metal usually dominates during the early stages of the game, but long-term development requires balance. Crystal and deuterium become increasingly important as you progress with research and fleet development.
