Inter-War rankings are built from statistic snapshots and split points into categories. In most cases the core rule is 1 point per 1,000 invested resource units, rounded down, although calculation details depend on the category.
Which point categories exist?
The current system tracks total, buildings, research, resorts, fleet and defense. Total points are the sum of the component categories.
How are buildings, research and resorts scored?
For level-based items, the system calculates the cumulative cost invested through all levels up to the current one, including geometric cost growth. The total is divided by 1,000 and floored.
How are fleet points calculated?
Base resource cost per unit × quantity is converted to points by dividing by 1,000. Ships on planets and ships in active fleet missions are both included, so sending a fleet does not simply remove its value from statistics.
How are defense points calculated?
Base metal + crystal + deuterium cost × quantity, divided by 1,000 and rounded down.
How are alliance points calculated?
An alliance’s total is the sum of total points of its members; member count is stored as well.
What happens on a tie?
Players are sorted by points descending. With equal points, the current technical tie-break is user ID ascending, so the lower ID appears first.
Does ranking update instantly?
The ranking is snapshot-based, so visible position may not change in the exact second an investment completes.
How to interpret a ranking snapshot
The ranking is not a counter of resources sitting in storage. It represents invested value published through statistics snapshots. Buildings and research use the accumulated cost of all levels leading to the current level, fleet statistics also include ships that are currently in active missions, and defense uses the quantities currently owned on planets.
Because publication is snapshot-based, a completed investment may appear with a short delay. Ties are made deterministic with the user ID: with equal points, the lower ID is ranked higher. Alliance points do not receive a separate membership multiplier; they are the sum of the total points of the alliance members. Free resources, Bank balances and unspent materials are not themselves converted into ranking points until they become an investment counted by a ranking category.
