The Messages screen shows the local player’s inbox and separately tracks the number of unread messages. Opening a specific message uses a dedicated read view.
How does it work?
Inter-War also issues a protected send token for the compose form. This means simply replaying a request outside the proper flow should not be enough to send a message as the player.
What are the requirements?
When you enter compose from another surface such as a profile or modal, the interface can pre-fill the recipient. You should still verify the field before sending because it is a convenience feature rather than a second confirmation of intent.
What happens after the action?
The unread counter helps you see quickly whether new messages arrived. For alliance-wide communication, circular messages are usually more appropriate, while private messages are better for a specific person.
When is it useful?
Communication belongs to the local player in the current universe. This matters in multiuniverse: a message, relationship or status from one world should not automatically be treated as gameplay state in another.
Common mistakes
Use recipients visible in the current universe. If the interface pre-fills a recipient, still verify the field before sending—especially after navigating from a profile, Galaxy view or modal.
