How do resource storages work?

Resource storages determine how much metal, crystal and deuterium the selected planet can hold. Each resource has its own capacity, so upgrading one storage does not automatically increase the other two.

What happens at the cap?

Production is settled server-side and is constrained by storage capacity. When a resource reaches its maximum, further passive gain is limited by that storage. Increasing capacity before a long absence prevents high mine output from being wasted at the cap.

Which bonuses increase storage?

Inter-War applies account and universe modifiers. The Stocker officer currently grants +100% storage per level, while the Resort Officer grants +5% per level. Effective capacity can therefore differ between accounts and universes.

Storage versus the Bank

The Bank is a separate system with its own capacity. It does not replace planetary metal, crystal and deuterium storages, and improving the Bank does not automatically expand normal storage.

How should storage be planned?

Compare capacity with your production-per-hour rate. If a storage holds only a few hours of output, it becomes a real economic bottleneck.

FAQ — storage

Does every resource have a separate cap?

Yes. Metal, crystal and deuterium are capped independently.

Does more storage increase production?

Not directly. It lets production continue for longer before reaching the cap.
