How does Vacation Mode work?

Vacation Mode is designed to secure your account during a longer break from the game. Before it can be enabled, the system requires active operations to be cleared so the account does not enter vacation while important actions are still running.

When can Vacation Mode be enabled?

You cannot have active building, research, shipyard or resort queues. All of your own fleet flights must be finished. Vacation Mode also cannot be enabled while a hostile fleet is flying toward one of your planets or while an active fleet-collection batch is running.

How long does Vacation Mode last?

Once enabled, it must remain active for at least 48 hours. After disabling it, a 7-day cooldown begins before Vacation Mode can be enabled again.

Exact rules and formulas

Vacation mode can be enabled only when the account passes safety checks. There must be no active building, research, resort or shipyard queue, no own active fleet, no incoming hostile attack/ACS/destroy mission, and no active fleet-collection batch.

When enabled, planet resources are synchronized first. During vacation resource production is 0 and most state-changing gameplay actions are blocked. Hostile missions against a player in active vacation are blocked as well.

Minimum duration: 48 hours. It cannot be disabled earlier.

Cooldown after disabling: 7 days before it can be activated again.

When vacation ends, planet update timestamps are set to the current time, so the vacation period cannot later be recovered as accumulated production.

FAQ — Vacation Mode

Why can’t I enable it?

Check your queues, active fleet flights and any hostile missions heading toward your planets.

Can I disable it immediately?

No. Vacation Mode has a minimum active duration of 48 hours.

Vacation-mode timeline example

If you enable vacation mode on Monday at 10:00, the earliest possible disable time is Wednesday at 10:00. If you disable it then, the seven-day cooldown ends the following Wednesday at 10:00. In practice, two activations can therefore be at least nine days apart when the first vacation is ended exactly after the minimum 48 hours.

What exactly blocks activation?

The system separately checks building, research, shipyard and resort queues. It also checks all of your active fleet missions and hostile Attack, ACS Attack or Destroy missions travelling toward your planets. Active multi-fleet collection operations must also be finished before vacation can start.

Immediately before activation, resources on all owned planets are synchronized to the current time. While vacation is active, the production system returns zero production. When vacation is disabled, planet update timestamps are moved to the current time, so the vacation period cannot later be credited as accumulated offline production.

What is protected during vacation?

A player in vacation mode cannot perform normal gameplay mutations such as construction, research, shipyard production or fleet dispatch. The system also rejects hostile missions against a target that is currently in vacation mode.
