The founder cannot simply leave an active alliance while other members remain. Before leaving, leadership must be resolved or the group must be disbanded.
How does it work?
If the alliance has more than one member, leadership must first be transferred to another member. Only after the controlling role changes can the former founder leave like a regular member, assuming the new state allows it.
What are the requirements?
If the founder is the only member, leaving dissolves the alliance. This is different from leaving a multi-member group because there is nobody else to receive control of the organization.
What happens after the action?
Before transferring leadership, check the selected player’s rank and permissions and communicate the change to members. Leadership transfer matters because the new leader receives control over the alliance’s most important management functions.
When is it useful?
The action is resolved inside the active universe. Permissions and membership are checked against the alliance’s current state, so an old open page does not guarantee the operation will still be allowed after a rank, recruitment or membership change.
Common mistakes
Before confirming, verify the alliance, player or role affected by the action. Most mistakes come from acting on a stale view or assuming a permission you had earlier is still valid.
