How do alliance ranks and permissions work?

Ranks determine which administrative actions an alliance member can perform. A new group starts with basic ranks including a Leader with management rights and a regular Member, while responsibilities can be divided more precisely later.

How does it work?

Permissions can cover alliance management, members, applications, description editing, recruitment and circular messages. This means not every member needs full access to every administrative action.

What are the requirements?

Roles such as Leader, Officer, Recruiter or Member can represent different organizational functions, but the actual ability to perform an action comes from assigned permissions rather than the rank name alone.

What happens after the action?

The safest approach is to grant only the rights a person genuinely needs. That reduces accidental recruitment changes, member removals or description edits by people who should not control the entire alliance.

When is it useful?

The action is resolved inside the active universe. Permissions and membership are checked against the alliance’s current state, so an old open page does not guarantee the operation will still be allowed after a rank, recruitment or membership change.

Common mistakes

Before confirming, verify the alliance, player or role affected by the action. Most mistakes come from acting on a stale view or assuming a permission you had earlier is still valid.
