Player protection in Inter-War limits combat missions between accounts with extremely different point totals. It is designed to reduce cases where a developed account repeatedly attacks a much weaker player or a very small account sends a combat mission against an opponent many times stronger.
When does protection start to apply?
In the current default configuration the comparison becomes active when the attacker has at least 5,000 points. Below that threshold the percentage comparison does not block the mission. The threshold is a universe setting and may be changed by the administrator.
How are the 20% and 500% limits calculated?
For an attacker covered by the rule, the target is too weak when its points are less than or equal to attacker points × 0.20. A target is too strong when its points are greater than or equal to attacker points × 5. Both boundaries are inclusive.
Example: with 100,000 attacker points, a target at 20,000 or below is protected as too weak, while a target at 500,000 or above is blocked as too strong. The normal attackable range lies between those values.
Which missions are checked?
The rule is applied to Attack, ACS Attack and Moon Destruction. It is not a universal ban on every fleet mission toward that player; other mission types follow their own validation rules.
When is protection ignored?
The point-ratio protection does not block a target that has been inactive for at least 7 days. It is also skipped when ranking data required for the comparison is unavailable or when protection is disabled in the universe configuration.
Does it replace other protections?
No. Vacation mode, account restrictions, attack limits and other dispatch rules are separate checks. A target may be inside the permitted point range and still reject a combat mission for another reason.
Common questions
Is a target exactly at 20% protected?
Yes. The lower boundary is inclusive, so exactly 20% is treated as too weak.
Is a player exactly five times stronger blocked?
Yes. Exactly 500% of the attacker’s points meets the upper boundary.
Can 5,000, 20% and 500% change?
Yes. They are default universe configuration values and can be adjusted for a different server balance.

How should these values be interpreted?
The formulas and limits above describe the current Inter-War logic. Some parameters are universe configuration values, so a balance update can change a number without changing the underlying rule. If the live game panel displays a different configurable value, that value should be treated as authoritative for the current universe. The formulas are useful for planning, while the final settlement and validation are always performed by the server.
What should be checked before using the mechanic?
Check the current account, planet and fleet state, active bonuses and any validation message shown when the action is attempted. Many Inter-War systems combine several layers: requirements, daily limits, free slots, resources and modifiers from technologies, Resorts, Avatar talents or events. Correctly calculating one formula therefore does not automatically guarantee that an action is available; the other conditions are validated independently.
